Glass for touchscreens

マシニング用操作盤カバーガラス

Nowadays, smartphones and tablets have become so widespread that there is more than one device per person, and capacitive touch screens are often used for displays due to their sensitivity to finger operation. These displays are covered with tempered glass on the front.

A grid-like touch sensor electrode film, which recognizes the touch position, is attached to the backside of the glass, and below that, the liquid crystal is laminated with OCA (Optically Clear Adhesive). We also supply these glasses to manufacturers.

The glass used for smartphone screens is chemically tempered to prevent it from easily cracking or getting scratched when dropped or bumped. Currently, as a protective glass on the surface of the smartphone body, glass of about 0.2 to 0.3 mm thickness is laminated with AB tape (self-adhesive tape) and used by many people to prevent scratches on the screen and to absorb impacts before it breaks.

Because the screen is touched frequently, it is also possible to apply AF (Anti-Fingerprint) processing to reduce fingerprints and dirt adhesion. We can also produce such functional glass.
