  • We’ve been processing and manufacturing glass items for over 70 years. Our products include tempered glass, which is used in Japanese infrastructure, as well as a wide range of other glass items. Our manufacturing equipment includes glass cutting machines, chamfering machines, CNC shaving machines, glass annealing furnaces, and a variety of other inspection tools. Throughout, we have prioritized product quality and service, earning our clients’ trust.

History

Feb. 1949 Former president Susumu Uemura founded the Kamimura Glass Shop in Nishi-ku, Nagoya City.
11 Jan. 1961 Marugami Glass Processing Works was established with a capital of 1 million yen.
Sep. 1982 Araki Factory was opened in Nishi-ku, Nagoya City.
Jun. 1984 Okazaki Factory was opened in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture.
Aug. 1986 Masumichi Uemura became chairman.
Apr. 1993 Capital was increased to 12 million yen.
Jan. 1995 The name of the company was changed to Marugami Glass Co., Ltd.
Mar. 1995 Headquarters Factory was opened in Nishi-ku, Nagoya City.
Aug. 1997 Split Okazaki Factory into Takeyu Glass Works.
Nov. 1997 The headquarters building was moved to Nishi-ku, Nagoya City.
Jan. 2000 Araki Factory obtained the international standard ISO9002.
Oct. 2000 Marukami Asia Co., Ltd. was established.
Jan. 2002 Araki Factory obtained the international standard ISO14001.
Apr. 2004 Moved the horizontal strengthening furnace from Araki Factory to the Headquarters Factory.
2004 Gained RICOH Green Procurement.
May 2006 Moved Takeyu Glassworks from Okazaki to Nishi-ku, Nagoya City.
2007 Introduced two automatic pachinko glass assembly lines.
2008 QD Tech was established in Osaka.
2008 Introduced glass processing line for information and communication equipment (mobile equipment).
Jan. 2015 Masumichi Uemura became chairman.
Jan. 2015 Akira Miwa became chairman.
Jan. 2015 Yokkaichi Office in Mie Prefecture was established.
Dec. 2015 Merged Takeyu Glassworks and QD Tech.
8 Aug. 2016 The company’s name was changed to MARUJOU Co., Ltd.
Sep. 2017 Marunouchi Sales Office was opened.
Oct. 2018 Goh Nakayama became chairman.
Nov. 2018 Marunouchi Sales Office obtained the international standard ISO9001:2015 and the international standard ISO14001:2015.
Nov. 2018 Araki Factory obtained the international standard ISO9001:2015 and the international standard ISO14001:2015.
Mar. 2020 Closed the Yokkaichi Factory in Mie Prefecture and consolidated it into the Araki factory.
Jan. 2021 Dissolved Hong Kong affiliated company Marukami Asia Co., Ltd.
9 Sep. 2024 Acquired 100% of the shares of Ozaki Mirror, Ltd. and welcomed it as a group company.
